Buenos Aires was the starting point for a great fCN mission full of new connections, company visits, culture, nature and adventure. The trip was full of with teambuilding and networking moments, as in Patagonia: walking on the Perito Moreno glacier, riding the rugged Ruta 40, hiking in the Torres del Paine national park and horseback riding through the beautiful gauchos area. In Santiago we returned to the civilized world and settled down on the rooftop of the W Hotel with stunning views over the city and the Andes. fCN member Bert de Boer (PearlWineCircle / Activin) received us at Clos Apalta at Casa Lapostolle for a tour, a wine tasting and a meet & greet with Andrea Leon, South America’s No. 1 winemaker. The wines that were donated have been awarded 100 points by Wine Spectstor for years! The journey continued with a trip across the Andes mountains with a lunch at 3200 meters in the restaurant of Hotel Portillo (in the eponymous ski resort) with breathtaking views. In Mendoza, Bert de Boer received us again, this time together with his dear friend Michael – the son of – the Swarovski family at his estate and wine estate Norton; after the guided tour and wine tasting, lunch between the vines, Argentinian folkore, dinner with real Argentinian bbq (asado), the grandiose band and the DJ provided the right ambiance. A beautiful ending of a very special, fun, educational and inspirational mission!
