This time, in collaboration with Michelin, the Dutch embassy in Paris and Pernod Ricard, fCN organized a wonderful cultural and business program.
The journey by Thalys started in style with a delicious champagne breakfast with croissants and pain au chocolat, including an fCN Journal. After arrival, a culinary lunch awaited us at Le Clarence, a two-star Michelin restaurant. The lunch started with a reception in the beautiful salon where Simine Zijm, International Event Manager – Michelin Travel Partner, and the Chief Inspector of Michelin, welcomed us. Of course, a personal meeting with chef Christophe Pelé could not be missed.
After the special experience in Le Clarence, a sporty part was waiting for us; a tour through the city with electric steps! Under the guidance of guides we traversed the city at high speed.
The second day started with a visit to the Dutch embassy in Paris. Dirk-jan Nieuwenhuis welcomed us, after which the embassy and the Transfer LBC company told us more about doing business in France and Paris. Transfer LBC talked about doing business internationally, matchmaking, contracting and generating revenue. The Economic Cluster told about the Dutch embassy as an organization, about trade between the Netherlands and France and priority themes such as sustainable agri-food, climate, health, sustainable mobility, digital society and sustainable product development.
The following part of the program brought us to a special place for lunch with the most beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower: one of our preferred partners Pernod Ricard and we were received at the head office in Paris. Lunch was served on the most beautiful rooftop terrace in Paris and then learned more about the company during a presentation. Yves Schladenhaufen, Marketing Transformation & Portfolio Strategy Director, talked about the origin of Pernod Ricard, the sales results and about the top markets of Pernod. The afternoon ended with a delicious product tasting.
The two days were filled with new acquaintances with each other, nice business commitments directly or on the horizon. Dear to have been able to make the trip to Paris with such a well-balanced, fine group of fCN members
